Effective 31 October 2026
Your card, made by you
The card service is for people aged 18 or older acting for themselves. Use an email address you control and provide your own instructions. Do not create a card impersonating another person or claim authority you do not have.
Review the complete card before confirming it. You are responsible for choosing the limits that reflect your wishes and for deciding who should receive a copy.
What a card means
A saved card is a dated record of the instructions you declared. Confirming an email proves access to that inbox; it does not prove civil identity, legal capacity or someone else’s authority.
Your card does not itself create an avatar, give another service technical access, block every use of your likeness, notify companies, appoint a representative or replace a will or other legal document. Its legal effect depends on the circumstances and applicable law. Get qualified advice if you need a particular legal result.
Preserving recordings, sharing them, training a model, generating new speech, allowing conversations and acting in your name are separate permissions. Silence, an undecided answer, withdrawal and deletion are not permission.
Update, withdraw and share
You can replace your instructions with a new version, withdraw the current card or delete your account in My card. Keep a copy of anything you want to retain before deletion.
A downloaded or shared card is a snapshot. We cannot recall copies from people or companies who already received them. Tell the people concerned when your wishes change and send them your updated version.
Your account
Keep your email account secure, use the sign-in code only on humantransition.org and sign out on shared devices. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. If you lose access to your email, we cannot transfer a card simply because someone knows the holder’s name.
Guidance and support
Our protection guides provide general information. Contacting us, creating a card or asking about membership does not appoint Human Transition or a lawyer to act for you. Any individual casework, legal representation, fees or membership benefits require a separate agreement that explains the available scope.
Respect the service and other people
Do not use the service for fraud, harassment, unauthorized access or distributing someone else’s private information. We may restrict access to address misuse, security problems or legal requirements. Where feasible, we will explain the restriction and how to contact us about it.
Availability and your rights
We maintain the service, but access may be interrupted by maintenance, provider failures or security incidents. Keep an exported copy of important instructions. If we need to end the card service, we will give notice and an opportunity to export where reasonably possible.
Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Responsibility and contact
Antonin Cohen is responsible for Human Transition, operated in the United States. Email contact@humantransition.org about the service or these terms. See Privacy for how we handle information.
